These drawing activities were very useful. They allowed me to gain insight into the varying pencil and pen weights. I am now aware of where and when certain pens and pencils should be put to use and their purpose. In addition to this, I was exposed to a range of drawing techniques such as; cross-hatching, stirling and sketching.

DESIGN ELEMENTS AND PRINCIPLES ON SITE
This task was very insightful. I gained much knowledge on varying elements and principles within my designated site. it was also a great opportunity to bond with my peers and work on our team work skills. This will be beneficial when completing our group assessment in the later weeks.

COLOUR SWATCHES, HARMONIES AND IMAGES FOR INFOGRAPHIC
UNSW Transportation
1. infrastructure
Highlights the chaotic traffic environment and city infrastructure. The colour scheme extracted from this photograph was of a pastel palette, which I will use when considering the colour scheme for my infographic.
2. Commute
The Photograph below is depicts forms of travel through a line of traffic. There are cars visible along with motorbikes which are two ways of travel that individuals at UNSW utilise. The colour scheme extracted is centred around pink, purple and varying shades of yellow. The colours are light and will therefore work well with the previous colour palate.
3. Travel
Another form of transportation is represented through this photograph. This image was carefully selected due to the background the plane is set in front. I chose this carefully as I wanted to select an image that was of a similar colour scheme to my previous to enable an easier process when selecting the final colour swatches for my infographic. This was an effective choice as they all did acquire lighter and more pastel undertones.
FINAL INFOGRAPHIC
The pastel colour scheme was the basis of our entire infographic We set this on a black background to assist in creating a coherent environment. This worked effectively as all infographics individually are clear and appealing to the eye and once being placed side by side with one another, all work collectively.
PLAN
The colour scheme is carried onto the series of plans laid side by side. Each member within the group adopted their own unique style while sticking to the colour palette and as a result we created a line of effectively designed and well thought through maps.
FINAL PHOTOSHOP
This is the final photoshop submission. I found it, along with the other members in my group, very difficult to get our images to all blend nicely with one another. I feel as though this is because the images were so out of place that no matter how well they are edited into the photo, it would always seem odd. In saying this, we tried our best and turned out better than expected.
FINAL RENDERED IMAGE
Each member in the group contributed equally to this task. We individually created small sections and as time progressed we began to layer them on top of one another to which we eventually ended with this as our final result.

IN CLASS DRAWING ACTIVITY
This was a useful task that allows me to experiment with angle, proportion, and perception. This will be useful when creating sketches of my model to submit in the final weeks.

PAUL JACKSON FOLDING TECHNIQUES
I watched a series of videos that provided me with skills and techniques which I could potentially implement when creating my model later in the track. An image below presents the 'V Pleat' folding technique that I adopted during this task. It was really enjoyable learning this skill and not too challenging. Simple and direct.

FUSION 360: The Space Between
This task was challenging and involved a lot of time, detail and patience. This would have to be the most time consuming task with the most amount of precision necessary, that we've had yet. In saying this, I am pleased with the outcome.

DRAFT 1 OF BEDROOM MODELS:
Making all three of these models were time consuming but enjoyable. The outcome of this activity was positive. It provided physical insight into my bedroom layout, which was useful in progressing forward with the design process.

Fusion 360 3D Shapes
The tutorials provided made this task very easy to complete. It was clear and simple. In saying this, I did have to complete it twice. The first round (present in the image directly below) I didnt consider how detailed and clear I was making each individual letter and as a result it didnt allow me to shell my model. So I started again and gave each letter a more unique style. I found this task a lot more enjoyable to complete in comparison to last weeks.
REVISION TO INITIALS

REVISION OF BEDROOM MODEL
This week I focused on creating a more solid structural outline of my bedroom. I followed a similar outline as of last week adding more details which is visible in the images below.

REVISION OF BEDROOM MODEL
Since last week my bedroom model has progressed greatly in terms of structure. I have created an extension to the bedroom which is considered the walk in wardrobe as well as some interior design elements. These include wall paper, bed head, a feature wall and joinery which is visible in the images below.

REVISION OF BEDROOM MODEL
I considered light this week and by doing so I came to realise that more light is necessary and so I have created sunlights throughout the walk in wardrobe as well as bathroom. I have also made a few more revisions to my bedroom that relate to interior aesthetics. I conducted research into contemporary and traditional interior aesthetics to which I have gathered a mood board for. This is assisting with the selection of interior elements within my bedroom. For example, the feature wall in my model at the moment, is a form of contemporary art, the gold wallpaper is a traditional element, as are the grand bedhead and curtains. Images of progress made are visible below.

FINAL REVISION OF BEDROOM MODEL
This week final revisions were made to my bedroom. I believe great progress has been made and through doing so I have come to truly explore the way contemporary aesthetics and traditional can work hand in hand to create a beautiful bedroom. The colour scheme of the room is more so traditional but the layout and joinery takes on a contemporary and modern feel. Elements such as curtains, gold wallpaper and bedheads are classical but pendants, high ceilings, feature wall and side tables are modern. Overall I am proud of the bedroom I have created and the way in which it had proved my argument to be true. It is a unique design that I thought through generously throughout the process.

FINAL MODEL FOR SUBMISSION
I specifically chose the beach background paired with the wood rendering as I believe both compliment my area of interest. The beach background highlight a sense of serenity and paired with cool undertones, is linked with modern aesthetics. The wood exterior render, has richer and warmer undertones which I associate with contemporary. Overall this rendered image links both contemporary and traditional together to create an effective image that although may not be realistic, is effective in highlighting two eras of design.
100 WORD STATEMENT
Interior architecture plays a role in the aesthetics of design. My project is titled 'Timeless Aesthetics' and examines the way in which contemporary and traditional aesthetics work individually and in composition with one another. The interior design industry is continuously evolving with new modern aesthetics to which I believe paired with traditional and more so grand aesthetics, could potentially create an appealing design. This is supported particularly through Model 5. The gold wall paper, pendants, thick curtains and overall colour scheme was inspired by traditional, classical design. In comparison, the black and white wall art, sleek side tables, large windows, high ceilings and bathroom and wardrobe joinery are considered contemporary. These elements of aesthetics although from different eras of design work hand in hand with one another creating a well designed room, therefore proving my thesis to be true.
