ASSESSMENT 3: Developing Your Style

100-WORD STATEMENT:
Interior architecture plays a role in the aesthetics of design. My project is titled 'Timeless Aesthetics’ and examines the way in which contemporary and traditional aesthetics work individually and in composition with one another. The interior design industry is continuously evolving with new modern aesthetics to which I believe paired with traditional and more so grand aesthetics, could potentially create an appealing design. This is supported particularly through Model 5. The gold wall paper, pendants, thick curtains and overall colour scheme was inspired by traditional, classical design. In comparison, the black and white wall art, sleek side tables, large windows, high ceilings and bathroom and wardrobe joinery are considered contemporary. These elements of aesthetics although from different eras of design work hand in hand with one another creating a well designed room, therefore proving my thesis to be true.
